Artist's Statement:
A preoccupation with the human form and embodiment, directs my work. I use the female body as both subject and metaphor to explore subjects such as ambition, expectation and desire and the emotional and psychological implications when realities and realisations hinder, spoil or prevent their fulfilment.
Part autobiography, part social commentary and part abstract concept, my work is a personal vocabulary which can be read as both specific and generic, but which always seeks to question and challenge the certainties within popular culture and Western society today.
